Clothes...who needs them?

So, Jack has been unusually grumpy at night lately. We took him to the doctor..no ear infection, just a couple teeth coming in...but, it seemed to be more than just teeth as tylenol appeared to make little or no difference. One night in particular he screamed and screamed and we couldn't find what was wrong so I started my usual routine when that happens. I peeled all his clothes off to see if I could find something poking him or something. As soon as I got all his clothes off, he immediately stopped crying and shortly fell asleep. I couldn't find anything in his clothes but I thought there must have been something bothering him. The next night started about the same way. Screaming. Again, after going down the list of everything else that could be wrong, I took his clothes off of him to check them. Quiet. Happy.Sleep. That was about a week ago, and he hasn't slept in jammies since. He has been sleeping really good and seems so happy to be naked. I know that many kids don't like to wear clothes, but the funny thing is he never fights them or seems bothered by them in the daytime, but at night he just wants his birthday suit. I am just glad that he is okay with wearing a diaper. Anyway, the explanation of these adorable pictures besides the fact that they are just adorable. I have always left him in his jammies for breakfast and nothing has changed. You can see I still do that. I don't even need a bib and I have less laundry. Who needs clothes anyway.

Tranquility No More

So... Jack started scooting along the funiture today. My life is over. He was so happy when he became mobile, and he is still happy, but the difference now is that I get nothing done all day because I have to stay right with him to catch him when he just lets go of whatever he is holding onto and falls over backwards. He is certainly brave, but smart we aren't sure about yet. He is sweet enough to make up for any other shortfalls though.

Absent Blogger!!

Hey everyone, sorry I have been an absent blogger lately. It seems that the older the boys get, the less time I have. In the last couple of weeks Jack has grown up so much. Not really physically, he's still short, chubby, and perfect. Last week he started crawling on his hands and knees. He has been army crawling for a good couple of months now, but has taken his time getting up on his hands and knees. Just Sunday night he pulled up to the couch for the first time and now he can stand up at anything. He also is going up the stairs. Sam has been really good to alert me that Jack is in trouble every two minutes or so throughout the day. He has even come up with a little song for it, I can't really sing it on a blog and I doubt anyone would want me to but all it says is: Dangerous for Jack, dangerous for Jack.He really is such a good big brother. We are so proud of him and Jack just adores Sam. It is really sweet to watch them interact with each other. I am sure that there will come a point when 'sweet' will no longer be the word we use to describe their interactions. I hope so though. Sam started primary this year!!! Can you believe that he will be 4 next month?! He is so funny and such a good kid. As for Joe and I, not much has changed, but I guess that isn't really a bad thing. I am so excited to be taking Cake
Decorating classes. I am having more fun with it than I should be probably. It is afterall only frosting. I am not sure that changing the world one cake at a time is a worthwhile goal. But I am having a lot of fun with it. I would love to someday sell my cakes, but we'll see. So let me know if anyone needs a cake for a special occassion. I know I'm just rambling now but, I must say that I found something that I am really excited about, and all you busy mom's out there can probably appreciate it too. There is a website called www.allrecipes.com , click on the Quick & Easy section, then on Twenty for Twenty. There is a list of 20 ingredients that you can get 20 meals out of!!! It is really basic ingredients too. You probably have most of them already. Anyway, we have tried several of the recipes now and have loved most of them. I must say that I have tweaked them a bit to make them just a bit healthier and we don't usually need the whole recipe so I usually do half or so. I make far too many trips to the grocery store and it has been really nice to do just one a week. I might make another run for diapers or milk or something but seldom for dinner ingredients. I hear one of the wee ones waking yet again and thats how I know I'm done.

Christmas Pics as Promised!!

Here are some of my favorite christmas pics of the boys. This is Jack trying out his new jumper and doing push-ups.

Now you all know what Sam's hair looks like first thing in the morning.

Jack's favorite thing was the ribbons. Sam was so sweet to take the time to give him all of them as he was opening his presents.
