Happy Birthday Jack!!!!

He quite enjoyed his cake, which you can see more pictures of at http://www.lawhobbies.blogspot.com/. He was a little hesitant at first, but there wasn't much of it left by the end. How do you like that karate chop action?!

Has It Really Been a Year Already?!

Jack turned 1 on May 29. We had a party for him on Saturday the 31st. I cannot believe that it's been a year already! Jack is such a happy little guy. He makes me laugh every day. Even strangers have to stop and talk to him. He has such a warm personality. I hear comments constently about his smile. "His whole face smiles!" He is growing up way too fast for our liking. But, we are so excited to watch as this next year passes. Unless of course, we figure out a way to pause time so that we can enjoy him and Sam just the way they are for a while longer. Jack, you melt my heart. Happy Birthday!!!

Playing Catch Up!

Since my last real post we have had some interesting and fun things happen. Our ceiling fell in in our master bedroom (due to a water leak in the attic), so we were out of our house for a week while that was being repaired. Then, cleaned for what felt like eternity. Jack turned one. I weaned him, which you may not be interested in knowing, but I must say that it is an amazing feeling to have my body belong to me after a 9 month pregnancy and nursing for 1 year. I can breathe again. Sam got to go fishing for the first time (pictures will come). We started excercising again. We have been getting to go out on many drives and nature walks (as Sam calls it). Some real progress has been made in the creation and expansion of Cheeky & Swank (the business Joe has been doing work for and is part owner of).I finally finished all my Cake Decorating classes. Joe has been tearing up the race track this year with his new car (not new, but new to us,actually it's quite old...and awesome). That's a little about what we are up to. I am finding it almost impossibe to find time for blogging lately, so I apologize. Just keep checking.
